How does the Priesthood effect you? - Week 54 - January 10, 2022

Hello everyone, I feel like a lot happened this week. While in quarantine we set up so many lessons. So we were teaching a lot this week.

On Friday we did a lot of service. We went and helped chop down some branches for one of the people we were teaching. Then after that we helped a member cut up a huge tree. We had to use saws, axes, and shovels. It was really fun. This member came to pick us up and it was probably 2 and a half hour drive for him all together. It was about 40 minutes one way and he did it 4 times. Members are dedicated out here.

Saturday was a crazy day. We drove 150 miles. Ya we won't be driving much these next few days. We had a lesson at the most south part of our area, then a member called needing help with service--they lived at the most north part of the area, and then we had two lessons about 30 minutes away from that. It was good though. There is a part member family from Jamaica we are teaching and we put two of the kids on baptismal date!!

Yesterday, didn't feel very productive. We had church, then a member needed help to get something heavy up in Cibolo. So we spent about 1 and a half hours driving and picking this thing up, then we had a stake priesthood meeting.

I really enjoyed the priesthood meeting. The priesthood was something that has been on my mind a lot this week. It clicked to me this week how amazing and special the priesthood really is. I was reading in Alma 13 this morning. It's when Alma the younger is talking to the people of Ammonihah about the Holy order of God (priesthood). I really loved verse 27, which talks about he had great anxiety for his people. He just wanted them to repent and change their ways. He did this because he loved the people. I wonder how we can more fully love God's children.

Love,

Elder Larsen
